Impact ICT Achieves Platinum SMB1001 Certification

We’re proud to share that Impact ICT is now Platinum certified in SMB1001:2026 Level 4, following an independent third-party audit conducted through CyberCert.

This certification recognises the high cyber security standards in place across our business and provides independent confirmation that those standards are actively maintained, reviewed, and embedded into how we operate day-to-day.

What is SMB1001?

SMB1001 is an Australian cyber security certification framework designed specifically for small and medium businesses. It provides a structured, risk-based approach to managing cyber security, governance, and operational controls.

Achieving Platinum (Level 4) reflects a mature and well-governed cyber security posture, supported by documented processes, regular reviews, and continuous improvement.

Fewer than 10 organisations currently hold Platinum certification, with fewer than 10 achieving Diamond, from a total network of more than 620 certified partners – placing Impact ICT among a very small group operating at the highest levels of the SMB1001 framework.

A continued commitment to cyber security excellence

For Impact ICT, achieving Platinum certification was about accountability.

As a managed service provider, we regularly guide our clients on cyber security risk, governance, and best practice. Holding ourselves to the same standards – and having those standards independently validated – is a critical part of protecting our organisation, our clients, and our partners.

This certification reinforces that cyber security is not treated as a one-off project, but as an ongoing responsibility built into how we operate and make decisions.

The Platinum certification was independently assessed through CyberCert, providing third-party verification of Impact ICT’s cyber security maturity.

Ryan Ettridge, Co-Founder & CEO of CyberCert, says the Platinum level goes well beyond baseline compliance:

CyberCert Platinum independently verifies a hardened environment… beyond insurance readiness at Silver and fundamental compliance readiness at Gold, Platinum really sets the tone for leadership in the SMB and MSP space. Well done Impact ICT on lighting the path.

Co-Founder Tom Purser says the certification reflects the discipline and consistency behind Impact ICT’s approach:

We talk to our clients every day about the importance of strong cyber security practices. Achieving Platinum SMB1001 certification confirms that we hold ourselves to those same standards. It reflects the care and commitment our team brings to cyber security as part of how we operate every day.

Cyber threats, technologies, and compliance expectations continue to evolve. Achieving Platinum SMB1001 certification marks an important milestone for Impact ICT – and reinforces our ongoing commitment to improving, adapting, and strengthening our cyber security posture over time.
